1. General Information
By booking an appointment with Breathe Massage & Movement, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These policies are in place to ensure a respectful, professional, and smooth experience for both clients and therapist.
2. Arrival & appointment conduct
Please arrive 5 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time to settle in.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened treatment time to ensure the next client’s appointment begins promptly. The full session fee will still apply.
All clients are expected to maintain appropriate hygiene and behaviour during their appointment. The therapist reserves the right to terminate a session immediately if inappropriate conduct occurs, and full payment will be required.
3. Cancellation & rescheduling policy
Appointments are reserved exclusively for you. To ensure appointment times are available for all clients, a minimum of 24 hours' notice is required if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice, as well as missed appointments, will incur the full appointment fee.
If you are feeling unwell or experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness, please do not attend your appointment. Please notify Breathe Massage & Movement as soon as possible. While every effort will be made to offer your appointment to another client, the cancellation policy still applies to appointments cancelled within 24 hours.
Cancellation fees must be paid prior to booking a future appointment.
Breathe Massage & Movement reserves the right to waive cancellation fees in exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion.
To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please email [email protected].
4. Payment & Health fund claims
Payment is required on the day of your appointment.
Private Health Fund claims can be processed on the spot for most funds.
If your fund cannot be processed at the time of your appointment, full payment is required, and a receipt will be issued for you to claim directly with your fund.
5. Informed consent
By attending your appointment, you acknowledge and consent to receive massage therapy services provided by Taylor Campbell, a qualified Remedial Massage Therapist.
You understand that:
- Massage therapy is provided for relaxation, stress relief, and/or therapeutic improvement such as pain reduction, improved circulation, and relief from muscular tension.
- The therapist does not diagnose medical conditions or perform spinal manipulations, nor prescribe medication or medical treatment.
- You have provided accurate and complete information regarding your health, medical history, and medications, and will update the therapist of any changes.
- You may withdraw consent or discontinue treatment at any time.
- Some techniques or modalities may cause temporary soreness or mild reactions, which are normal and typically subside within 24–48 hours.
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care, and it is recommended that you consult your primary healthcare provider for any ongoing or serious health concerns.
- You will inform the therapist if you are pregnant or have any health conditions that may affect treatment suitability.
6. Confidentiality
All personal and health information shared with Breathe Massage & Movement will remain strictly confidential and stored securely in accordance with privacy legislation. Your information will not be disclosed without your written consent unless required by law.
7. Practitioner's right to refuse treatment
Breathe Massage & Movement reserves the right to:
- Decline treatment if it is deemed unsafe or contraindicated for your condition.
- Refuse service to any client under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Refuse or discontinue treatment if a client does not display a reasonable level of personal hygiene.
- Refuse service to any client displaying symptoms of a contagious illness, including but not limited to fever, vomiting, diarrhoea, persistent coughing, cold or flu-like symptoms, or any condition that may place the practitioner or other clients at risk.
- Refuse service to any client displaying inappropriate, abusive, or disrespectful behaviour.
These factors may impact the safety, wellbeing, comfort, or professional standards of the clinic. In such cases, treatment may be refused or ended immediately, and the full appointment fee may be charged.
8. Refund Policy
Refunds are not provided for completed treatments, including situations where results differ from client expectations. Massage therapy outcomes vary between individuals, and no specific therapeutic result can be guaranteed.
Once a treatment has been provided and payment has been made, the fee is non-refundable.
Gift vouchers or prepaid packages are non-refundable, but may be transferred to another person unless otherwise stated.
If you experience an unexpected adverse reaction beyond the typical temporary soreness that can occur after massage, please contact us so we can review and follow up appropriately.
Refunds will only be issued in circumstances where a billing error has occurred (e.g., accidental duplicate charge or incorrect fee processed).
Cancellation fees (for late cancellations or no-shows) are non-refundable.
If the therapist must cancel your appointment due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances, you will not be charged, and you will be offered the next available appointment.
9. Agreement
By booking and attending your appointment, you confirm that you:
- Have read, understood, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined above.
- Give informed consent for treatment and accept the potential risks associated with massage therapy.
- Agree to abide by the cancellation and payment policies set by Breathe Massage & Movement.
